Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
ridevue is a service of Alignix LLC ("Alignix," "we," "us"). ridevue is an independent tool for NYC rideshare drivers. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it, in plain language. Questions? Email hello@ridevue.ai.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in, our authentication provider (Clerk) stores your email address and basic account identifiers so you can access your account.
- Location. The map can use your device location to center the map and find your current zone. We do not continuously track your location. When you submit a report or a location-based signal (for example, marking an available spot you are leaving), we store that single point so the feature can work. We will update this policy as new location-aware features ship.
- Driver-submitted reports. If you report a place's status (for example, a restroom), we store the report and a one-way hashed identifier so the same driver isn't counted twice and can undo their own report. Reports are shown anonymously — we do not attach your name to them.
- Expansion requests. If you submit your city to tell us where you'd like ridevue to go next, we store that submission so we know which cities drivers are asking for.
- Payment information. When paid plans begin, payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe handles card data on secure, PCI-compliant systems.
- Usage and device data. Our hosting and infrastructure may log basic technical data (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.
- Preferences. We store your language choice in a cookie so the app stays in your language.
How we use information
- Provide and operate the app (the demand map and amenity layers).
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- Process subscriptions and billing (when paid plans begin).
- Improve reliability and prevent abuse.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that help us run ridevue:
- Clerk — authentication.
- Stripe — payments and subscription billing.
- DigitalOcean — hosting.
We may disclose information if required by law. We may add or change service providers as ridevue grows; updates appear in this policy.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for sign-in and session, and a cookie to remember your language. We do not use advertising cookies.
Data retention and your choices
- You can stop using ridevue at any time.
- To delete your account or data, email hello@ridevue.ai and we will remove it.
- You can cancel a paid subscription anytime (see the Terms of Service).
Security
We rely on reputable providers (Clerk, Stripe, DigitalOcean) and standard safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
